During our years of coaching experience, we grew increasingly frustrated with the profiling tools on the market. Clare successfully completed the academic and practical components of her psychology training and was certified as a Registered Psychologist in Australia. She started in counselling psychology and sports psychology, but ultimately gravitated toward organisational psychology.
Both Clare and Owen gained valuable experience understanding how people think in the corporate sector. Owen’s extensive background in global business management and technology, plus his passion for helping business owners achieve their goals inspired him to become an independent business consultant so that he could blend his business acumen with knowledge of personal development to create a unique business
consultant offering.
Meanwhile, Clare took a break from the corporate world for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to be the Games Readiness Manager for the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. This experience reinforced for her that people think very differently and there is no one-size-fits-all approach. Success in her role came from recognising key differences between how each team operated and combining their strengths to achieve a common goal.
With several years of corporate experience under their belts, Clare and Owen were ready to team up and start their own business in 2008.
Owen made the key decision to leave corporate life and immerse himself in all things human capability and business strategy. Meanwhile, Clare also
pursued additional skills to broaden and deepen her own expertise in human capability. Both Clare and Owen invested significantly in various qualifications related to human growth and development to broaden and deepen their knowledge and went on to accumulate over 20,000 hours of combined coaching experience globally.
Clare was featured as a success story in the Millionaire Coach and Business Millionaire book series, which highlights the value of having a business coach. Meanwhile, Clare and Owen were becoming increasingly frustrated with the profiling tools available to help their coaching clients. They noticed that putting clients through hours of profiling wasn’t yielding enough helpful information to be worth it, and decided to create a new tool.
After extensive research and testing, Clare and Owen launched Values Pendulum, the first profile tool to be focused completely on how people think. Other tools on the market focus on behaviour, personality, or emotions and simply didn’t cultivate a growth mindset. They introduced this groundbreaking tool to the coaching world and certified over 100 coaches in the first two years.
Since its launch, over 1300 individuals have completed their Values Pendulum Profile to help them better understand the thought patterns that shape the way they see the world. During this period, Clare and Owen also refined, redeveloped, and relaunched a modernised version of this profile tool based on the feedback and learning from the first few years of its use. Our Values Pendulum consultants are now empowered with insightful, tangible data to guide the creation of impactful programs for their clients.
There are exciting new developments in the pipeline to expand on the Values Pendulum report to add even more incredible value and insights. These include life area specialisations that will help coaches dive even deeper into the core beliefs and attitudes of their clients in each specific area of their life so that they can be even more effective at adjusting their thinking to get the results they want.
