There are many experiences we have in life that sometimes leave us with a level of regret or a feeling of resentment towards someone in some way. Often we hold onto these feelings and they build over time and get added to more regrets and more resentment. For some, it builds up so much that it starts to influence how you engage and relate with others and the world around you.
By learning to release resentments and accept regrets you are able to live your life in the present moment looking forward rather than living your life wishing you could go back in time to redo past experiences.
Take a moment to ask yourself:
- What regrets and resentments are you holding on to that is preventing you from freely moving forward?
- In what ways might you need to forgive yourself?
- If you could release your resentment and move past your regrets what becomes possible for you in the way you engage with life and the people in it?
